An analysis of the data from a national survey of nurse prescribers and non-medical prescribing leaders conducted in 2008-2009 has concluded that the initial nurse independent prescribing education is adequate. It also identified the continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities and clinical governance strategies that were in place and commented onÂ the provision.
